It’s Maritime Whippet Madness

in majestic Cross Creek, New Brunswick
for the 32nd Annual National Whippet Club of Canada National Specialty

Held in conjunction with the Miramichi Kennel Club 3 all-breed shows, Group Two and Sighthound limited breed shows; the 2026 Maritime Whippet Madness events will bring together exhibitors from across Canada and across borders. Our breed is as versatile as it is beautiful, and we are excited to host a Specialty Lure Field Trial on site, as well as, a Specialty Obedience Trial and Specialty Rally Obedience Trial. Additionally, Oromocto Kennel Club 2 all-breed shows and Fredericton Kennel Club 2 all-breed shows immediately proceed our Specialty weekend, all at the same venue. There are 10 sets of points planned for whippets over the 5 days! Stay tuned for more details. Sprinter, Chase Ability, and Dock Diving will be available at the venue. All event information is subject to CKC approval.

Chase Championship Points

The NWCC National Specialty offers an excellent opportunity to earn CKC Championship points, with 10 sets of points planned for Whippets over five days, all set against the backdrop of scenic beauty and home to a local craft brewery

First time showing in Canada?

  1. Create a CKC Portal Account:
    This is done directly on the CKC website, you don't have to be a member. members.ckc.ca/login/register

  2. Apply for a Temporary Competition Number:
    Once you’re in the CKC online portal, go to the "Applications" section, then "Dog Registration", and follow the instructions. Submit your TCN request, and the TCN will be issued immediately online. There is no fee to obtain a TCN.

  3. Enter using the TCN:
    This TCN can be used for all event entries until your dog is permanently CKC registered. Just make sure when entering to include Entry fee $35 CAD + Listing fee $11.30 CAD (equivalent USD total still under $34) .

Keep in mind

If your dog earns points at a CKC event, you have 30 days to submit a CKC registration application, or the points may be forfeited.
